Nordamerika Native Museum NONAM
The Nordamerika Native Museum NONAM in Zurich, Switzerland, is dedicated to the art and cultures of Indigenous North America – First Nations, Inuit, Native Americans and Native Alaskans. The permanent collection exhibition leads through the Plains and Prairies, the northeastern Woodlands, the Subarctic, the Arctic, the Northwest Coast and the Southwest of the USA. The Bodmer Gallery displays works by the Zurich painter Karl Bodmer. The museum presents changing temporary exhibitions and is committed to promoting Indigenous artists.
Families and Kids
NONAM offers families a museum rally through the permanent collection as well as children's birthday parties with an interactive tour, craft session, games, dance and music. For school classes and after-school groups there are age-appropriate guided tours and workshops, for example on Indigenous games or the Arctic.
