Naturzentrum Thurauen

The Naturzentrum Thurauen in Flaach (Canton Zurich, Switzerland) is the gateway to the largest floodplain area of the Swiss Central Plateau. The interactive exhibition «Kosmos Auenlandschaft» teaches everything about river floodplains, flora and fauna, biodiversity and climate as well as the development and revitalisation of the Thur. A 340-metre adventure trail leads through a floodplain forest and past a learning playground. The centre also offers guided tours, school programmes and changing special exhibitions.

Families and Kids

The interactive exhibition and the 340-metre adventure trail with learning playground are suitable for children and adults. On the adventure trail children can dam a river or conquer a beaver lodge. Children's birthday parties and a Junior Ranger programme are also offered.
