Museum zur Farb
The Museum zur Farb in Stäfa (Switzerland) is a local history museum housed in one of the oldest surviving buildings in the municipality, whose oldest part was built around 1460. The permanent exhibition is dedicated to the Stäfner Handel, the uprising of the Zurich rural population against the dominance of the city in the 18th century, which is considered the initial spark for the founding of the Swiss federal state in 1848. The collection comprises paintings, furniture, textiles, documents, photographs and implements relating to the everyday, village, agricultural, craft and industrial history of Stäfa, as well as art connected to the municipality. The museum also presents changing temporary exhibitions and offers guided tours, village walks and workshops.
Families and Kids
The museum offers workshops and guided tours for school classes of all ages, which are free for school classes from Stäfa. The Haus zur Farb with its historic rooms, baroque paintings and old kitchen is also interesting for families with children.
