Museum Wetzikon

The Museum Wetzikon in Wetzikon, Switzerland, documents the history of Wetzikon from the Neolithic period to the 21st century through a wide variety of objects. The permanent exhibitions are dedicated to the themes of pile dwellings and Romans, including archaeological finds from the pile-dwelling settlement Wetzikon-Robenhausen (UNESCO World Heritage) and a Roman way station in Kempten. The collection comprises around 10,000 objects, including textiles, musical instruments, household items and school books. In addition, there are regularly changing temporary exhibitions, largely drawn from the museum's own collection.

Children can take part in workshops at Museum Wetzikon, such as the Stone Age or Roman workshop, and can even celebrate their birthday at the museum. As part of 'Children in the Museum' (KiM), there are free workshops on Wednesdays. Many objects can be handled and cultural techniques tried out.
