Museum Thalwil
Museum Thalwil in Thalwil, Switzerland, is a place full of stories: from everyday life in a quiet farming village to the centre of a global silk industry, as well as carnival traditions, the first railway, migration and thriving trade. It is housed in the Pfisterhaus, a stately 17th-century winegrower's house. The collection has four focal points: the textile industry, the everyday history of the farming village before industrialisation, a graphic collection centred on Aschmann's engravings, and photographs of the village's association history. The museum also hosts changing temporary exhibitions and interventions by contemporary artists.
Families and Kids
Museum Thalwil offers children and families changing exhibitions, including works by kindergarten children, as well as events such as readings and workshops. The garden and the Pfisterareal are also used and enlivened.
