Museum HAARUNDKAMM

The Museum HAARUNDKAMM in Mümliswil, Switzerland, is dedicated to the history of comb making in the Guldental valley. Its permanent exhibition presents ornate decorative combs made of horn, tortoiseshell and celluloid, as well as clips, tiaras and other hair accessories produced in the local comb factory. The collection documents the transition from craft to industry and the cultural history of the comb and hairdressing, and includes a comb workshop with original machines and tools. The museum also hosts changing temporary exhibitions.

Families and Kids

Children can take part in comb-making workshops in the original comb workshop, suitable from about 10 years of age. The museum also offers child-friendly guided tours and children's birthday packages with a comb-making workshop or a guided tour.
