Museum for Clocks and Mechanical Musical Instruments

The Museum for Clocks and Mechanical Musical Instruments (MUMM) in Oberhofen on Lake Thun displays a collection of clocks spanning almost six centuries as well as mechanical musical instruments such as barrel organs, mechanical pianos, music boxes and an orchestrion. A focus is on the work of watchmakers from the city and canton of Bern.

Families and Kids

The museum offers age-appropriate guided tours for school classes from grade 1 onwards. Children up to 16 years get free admission. Exhibits can be viewed up close and the mechanical musical instruments can be listened to.
