Museum Bruder Klaus

Museum Bruder Klaus in Sachseln is housed in a stately 1784 townhouse with a baroque garden. The permanent exhibition tells the story of the life and work of Niklaus von Flüe and his wife Dorothee Wyss. Thematic special exhibitions connect the present with the past and the local with the global, combining history, religion, mysticism and art.

Families and Kids

The museum garden offers a free play area in summer with treasure hunts, garden games, craft baskets and nature art stations. Special educational programmes for school classes are aligned with the Swiss curriculum (Lehrplan 21). School classes from Obwalden have free access to all educational offers.
