Museo della Radio
The Museo della Radio is located on Monte Ceneri in Rivera, Switzerland, inside the former national medium-wave radio station building that was active from 1933 to 2008. The museum tells the history of radio communication from Guglielmo Marconi (1895) to the present day, with an ordered collection of radio receivers, televisions, gramophones, transmitter parts, measuring instruments, books, magazines and manuals. It houses over 750 radio devices, thermionic valves, telegraphy and telephony equipment, and a didactic space with practical demonstrations of radio wave phenomena. The museum also maintains a library of over 1,400 books and documents on telecommunications.
