Musée Romain de Vallon

The Musée Romain de Vallon in Vallon, Switzerland, presents the remains of a Roman villa with its exceptional mosaics and wall paintings. The museum displays two remarkable mosaics, including the Bacchus and Ariadne mosaic and the hunting (venatio) mosaic, as well as a lararium with around fifteen bronze statuettes of Celtic, Greco-Roman and Egyptian deities. A scale model reconstructs the 3rd-century Roman dwelling, and the museum also hosts changing temporary exhibitions.

Families and Kids

The museum offers workshops for children, most designed for ages 7 and up, with some activities available from age 4. During school holidays, playful activities for children aged 7 to 12 are organised, including a museum visit, workshop and snack.
