Musée romain de Lausanne-Vidy
Located in Lausanne, Switzerland, the Musée romain de Lausanne-Vidy houses the remains of a rich Roman dwelling and presents the archaeological finds discovered on the site of Lousonna, a Gallo-Roman town on the shores of Lake Geneva. The permanent exhibition portrays the daily life of the Helvetians after their integration into the Roman Empire around 15 BC, covering language, technology, trade and culture. A new interactive space is dedicated to current archaeological research and the trades of archaeology. The museum also hosts changing temporary exhibitions on themes linking antiquity and contemporary society.
Families and Kids
The museum welcomes families and offers dedicated children's trails, a walk in the archaeological park and cultural programme events. Children can also celebrate their birthday at the museum, with workshops from age 4.
