Musée jurassien des Arts

The Musée jurassien des Arts in Moutier, Switzerland, is the only museum in the interjurassian territory entirely devoted to the visual arts. Its collections comprise around 8,000 works by Swiss and international artists, with a focus on modern and contemporary art from the Jura region from the 1950s to today, including a notable collection of lyrical abstraction. The museum also holds over 4,000 prints from the Moutier engraving workshop in long-term deposit. Housed in the early 20th-century Villa Bechler and a new wing inaugurated in 1996, it presents several changing temporary exhibitions each year.

Families and Kids

The museum offers family-friendly guided tours adapted to all generations and a discovery booklet for young visitors. Creative workshops for children aged 6-12 are regularly organised, and the museum participates in family events such as the Nuit des Musées with treasure hunts and creative activities.
