Musée du Bois
Located within the Arboretum du Vallon de l'Aubonne in Aubonne, Switzerland, the Musée du Bois is a museum dedicated to the tools and crafts of wood and forestry. It preserves a catalogue of over 6,000 pieces, of which about 1,500 are regularly exhibited, either permanently or in temporary exhibitions. The museum aims to preserve and pass on the traditional know-how of artisans while paying tribute to the ingenuity of past generations. It also hosts changing temporary exhibitions.
Families and Kids
The museum and its surrounding Arboretum offer family-friendly activities, including nature workshops and creative crafts on Wednesday afternoons. A playful rally for children aged 8 to 14 helps them understand the forest in everyday life. The Bois-Mort trail is adapted for small legs and pushchairs.
