Musée d'histoire
The Musée d'histoire in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, is a history museum housed in a mid-19th-century bourgeois villa set in a park. Its permanent exhibition traces the urban history of La Chaux-de-Fonds from the Middle Ages to the industrial, political, social and cultural development of the 19th and 20th centuries. Objects, images and films tell the story of the city, whose watchmaking urbanism is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The museum also hosts changing temporary exhibitions.
Families and Kids
The museum offers playful visits for children aged 6 and over on the first Sunday of each month, as well as original animations such as treasure hunts and games. Interactive visits linked to the collection are available from age 8, and educational workshops are offered for school groups.
