Musée Des Sapeurs Pompiers
The Fire Brigade Museum of the City of Geneva (Musée des Sapeurs-Pompiers) is located in Geneva, Switzerland, in the Jonction district. It traces the evolution of the firefighting profession through its technical resources, equipment, vehicles and outfits, with collections covering a period from the 18th century to the present day. The museum is housed in a welcoming building built partly from wood recovered after hurricane Lothar, and features vehicles, pumps, helmets, fire suits and reconstructed scenes across several floors. It also hosts changing temporary exhibitions and retrospectives.
Families and Kids
The museum welcomes children and families, and school visits are possible from age 6. Volunteer guides, former firefighters, accompany visitors and share their experiences and anecdotes.
