Musée de la nature du Valais

The Musée de la nature du Valais in Sion, Switzerland, is the reference institution for the canton's natural heritage, presenting collections of mammals, birds, insects, plants, minerals and fossils. Its permanent exhibition explores the evolution of the relationship between humans and their environment through rooms showcasing the fauna, flora and geology of Valais. The museum was the first natural history museum to dedicate a place to the Anthropocene, and it hosts changing temporary exhibitions. It also houses scientific and didactic collections, some of which can be consulted online.

Families and Kids

The museum offers a 'coin-coin' folding guide for very young visitors (from 4 years old) in French and German, included with admission. Audioguides, games and touch terminals are available for young visitors, and family visit routes and birthday celebrations are offered.
