The Matterhorn Museum – Zermatlantis is an underground museum in Zermatt that traces the village's development from a mountain farming community to a world-famous alpine resort. It features original houses, a multimedia room, and exhibits on the first ascent of the Matterhorn in 1865, including the original snapped rope.
