Maison de l'Absinthe

A cultural interpretation centre dedicated to the history, culture and plants of absinthe, located in Môtiers in the Val-de-Travers, the historic birthplace of absinthe in Switzerland. The museum features a permanent exhibition on the origins, clandestine production and rituals of absinthe, as well as temporary exhibitions. It also includes a bar with over 30 local artisanal absinthes, a shop, and a garden of absinthe plants.

Families and Kids

The museum welcomes families and offers a fun brochure for children to explore the museum. Children can also enjoy a tasting of original syrups inspired by absinthe plants. The museum is accessible and interesting for children, though alcohol tastings are for adults only.
