Maison de la Tête de Moine

The Maison de la Tête de Moine is a museum located in Bellelay, Switzerland, opposite the Abbey where the famous Tête de Moine cheese was born more than 800 years ago. Set in a haven of greenery at the border of the Jura and the Bernese Jura, the museum guides visitors through the ages with an iPad-guided tour, revealing a cheese that has preserved its original and unique character across the centuries. The museum also hosts changing temporary exhibitions. Visitors can discover how Tête de Moine cheese is made.
