La Maison de la Rivière

La Maison de la Rivière is a nature and culture centre in Tolochenaz, Switzerland, dedicated to the valorisation of local biodiversity through awareness, protection and scientific research of aquatic environments. The museum offers immersive exhibitions, outdoor animations and exchange spaces to explore this unique natural heritage, including aquariums with over 200 fish species and the F.-A. Forel submarine. It also hosts changing temporary exhibitions and educational trails. The centre is a competence hub for the management and renaturation of aquatic environments.

Families and Kids

La Maison de la Rivière offers many outdoor animations for families and children, including nature exploration, treasure hunts and creative workshops. Birthday parties are organised from November to March, and family animations run throughout the year. Children must be accompanied by adults and wear weather-appropriate clothing for the outdoor activities.

Open Wednesday to Monday from 10:00 to 18:00 from April to October, and Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00 from November to March. Open every day during the Vaud school holidays in February, Easter and autumn.
