Köniz Castle

Köniz Castle in Köniz (Switzerland) is the historic center of the district and dates back to a settlement of Augustinian canons in the 11th or 12th century. The Kulturhof at Köniz Castle is the largest cultural institution in the municipality and offers a broad program including dance, theater, concerts, literature, exhibitions and socioculture. The unique castle courtyard with its ensemble of rooms forms the backdrop for the events. The castle complex and farmstead still bear witness to the architectural form of a Teutonic Order commandery.
