Hünegg Castle

Hünegg Castle in Hilterfingen on Lake Thun is a residential museum of Historicism and Art Nouveau whose furnishings have remained unchanged since 1900. The castle also houses the Erich Liechti ship collection with over 140 self-built ship models as well as the Palazzo Sesavale miniature world on a 1:12 scale. The stately residence lies in a spacious castle park that is open to the public all year round, with old trees, an animal enclosure and a playground. The castle is open to visitors from mid-May to October and hosts changing special exhibitions.

Families and Kids

The castle park offers a playground, an animal enclosure with peacocks, rabbits and kangaroos, and a fairy-tale world with the Määrli-Läse-Hüsli children's chalet and a fairy-tale quiz trail. Children can also go on a treasure hunt for the castle's little resident, the Schloss-Schlingel, and celebrate their birthday at the castle.
