House of Museums
The Haus der Museen in Olten, Switzerland, brings together three museums under one roof: the Naturmuseum Olten, the Historisches Museum Olten and the Archäologisches Museum Kanton Solothurn. The natural history museum presents the region's natural history with unique fossils and lifelike stuffed animals. The historical museum tells the story of the city of Olten at the crossroads of many routes with interactive stations as well as audio and video documents. The archaeological museum shows finds spanning 80,000 years and brings the people of the past back to life. The house also hosts changing temporary exhibitions.
Families and Kids
The Haus der Museen offers children's birthdays for children aged 6 and over with themes such as the Middle Ages, Roman times or the Stone Age. A Kinderspur, a puzzle tour, guides young visitors playfully through all three exhibitions. There are also family tours and holiday pass offers for children.
