House of Absinthe
The Maison de l'Absinthe in Môtiers, Switzerland, is a modern interpretation center dedicated to the history of absinthe, the famous Green Fairy. Its three-story permanent exhibition presents antique objects from the Belle Époque, poetry, and information about the prohibition of absinthe, its role in the local economy, and its presence worldwide. The house also features a laboratory explaining the making of absinthe, a bar offering tastings of nearly 30 kinds of absinthe, a shop, and a demonstration kitchen. It hosts changing temporary exhibitions.
