Hegi Castle
Hegi Castle in Winterthur (Switzerland) is a historic castle with a museum that brings to life the building's history and the stories of its former inhabitants. Visitors can take part in guided tours enriched by the theatre group with scenic interludes from former castle life. The castle also includes a public castle park, a plant garden with old vegetable varieties, a tortoise enclosure and the Schloss Schenke tavern. The castle also serves as a venue for cultural events and as an out-of-school learning site.
Families and Kids
Children and young people up to 16 years have free admission to the public castle tours. The plant garden and the tortoise enclosure offer an outdoor classroom for children and all curious visitors. The ASLO out-of-school learning site is aimed at primary school classes (grades 3-6).
