Hallenbad Altstetten

The Hallenbad Altstetten is an indoor swimming pool in Zurich, Switzerland, operated by a cooperative since 1997. It offers a 25-metre swimmer pool, a non-swimmer pool, a diving pool with a 1m, 3m and 5m diving tower, wellness pools, and the longest indoor water slide in the canton of Zurich. The facility also includes a sauna landscape with Finnish sauna, sanarium and aroma steam bath, a sports hall, and a restaurant with terrace.

  • Are there age restrictions for children in the wellness pool?
    Children and young people up to their 16th birthday are only admitted to the wellness pool when accompanied by an adult, and only during specific admission times. Schools, day-care centres and groups are not admitted to the wellness pool.
  • Is the sauna area nude-only and are there separate days for men and women?
    Yes, the entire sauna area is a nude zone. Monday is women's day and Wednesday is men's day; on the other days the sauna is mixed.
  • Can I bring my own food to the restaurant?
    For hygiene and food law reasons, the restaurant does not store brought-in food in its refrigerators or freezers. For brought cakes, a fee of CHF 1 per place setting is charged.
  • Is the Ferienpass valid at this pool?
    No, the Ferienpass 2024 is not valid at the Hallenbad Altstetten.
