Grindelwald Museum
The Grindelwald Museum in Grindelwald, Switzerland, is a local history museum housed in a former school building from 1889 that has served as a museum since 1963. It documents the development of the mountain village from an alpine farming community to a renowned holiday resort, covering themes such as life and work in the valley, agriculture and alpine farming, crafts and technology, mountaineering, winter sports and the construction of the railways. The collection includes historical objects, photographs and personal stories, as well as exhibits on mountain painting and the cultural side of the mountain world. The museum also comprises several external sites and hosts changing temporary exhibitions.
