Greifvogelpark Buchs

The Greifvogelpark Buchs in Buchs, Switzerland, is the largest bird of prey park in the country, covering more than 10,000 square metres. Visitors can observe eagles, buzzards, owls and other birds of prey from around the world in clearly labelled aviaries, and attend flight shows during the main season. The park is also a pioneer in falconry shows and a breeding and care station for rare and injured birds of prey. It hosts changing temporary exhibitions and events.

  • Are dogs allowed in the park?
    No, dogs are not allowed in the park to keep stress low for the animals. Please leave your dog outside during your visit.
  • Can I take a photo with a bird of prey?
    Yes. After the weekend flight shows you can take a photo with an eagle or owl for CHF 10.00. During the week and in the off season, a souvenir photo with a bird of your choice is possible for CHF 10.00 (children) or CHF 20.00 (adults) per image.
  • When do the flight shows take place?
    Flight shows take place on Saturdays and Sundays at 15:00 from 1 April to 31 October, and also on public holidays of the canton of St. Gallen. They do not take place in the rain. For groups, shows can be arranged on request from Wednesday to Friday.
  • Is the park barrier-free?
    Yes, the park is described as barrier-free and offers a Falkenstübli, a sun terrace and a grill and picnic station. There is also a children's playground and free parking directly at the park.
  • Can I visit the park with a guided tour?
    Yes, guided park tours are possible by prior arrangement and appointment. You will learn a lot about the animals and their habitats, and the guides are happy to answer your questions.
