Gotthelf Zentrum Emmental

The Gotthelf Zentrum Emmental in Lützelflüh (Switzerland) is a museum in the former parsonage where the writer and pastor Albert Bitzius, alias Jeremias Gotthelf, lived and worked from 1831 to 1854. The permanent exhibition shows Gotthelf's original living and working rooms, his study, as well as first editions, manuscripts and letters. Interactive touchscreens allow visitors to compare original texts with film and radio play sequences. The centre also presents changing special exhibitions on Gotthelf's life and work.

Families and Kids

Children can follow the traces of Jeremias Gotthelf in and around the museum with a puzzle booklet on a detective game and receive a small reward for the correct solution. Interactive touchscreens with radio play and film excerpts provide fun for younger guests. After a guided tour, the converted attic room in the Spycher can be used for a picnic.
