Galleria Baumgartner
A museum dedicated to model railways, housed in a former pasta factory opposite Mendrisio station. The collection comprises over 4,000 exhibits including model trains, ships, vintage saloon trains, and the world's longest model of a railway station (Rothenburg).
Families and Kids
Children can drive battery-powered Märklin My World model trains on special circuits. The mascots Gloria the elephant and Bruno the crocodile guide young visitors through the museum. Small birthday parties can be arranged in the cafeteria.
