Forum of Swiss History Schwyz

The Forum of Swiss History Schwyz is a museum of the Swiss National Museum focusing on the emergence of the Old Swiss Confederacy in the Middle Ages. The permanent exhibition 'Switzerland in the Making' spans three floors covering the 12th to 14th centuries with precious objects and interactive media stations. Temporary exhibitions on the lower level address current societal topics.

Children and young people up to 16 years enjoy free admission. The permanent exhibition is designed as an adventure tour appealing to children and adults alike. A discovery suitcase for families with playful tasks and dressing up as a knight or damsel offer additional activities. Free guided tours are available for school classes from age 8.
