Fondazione Ghisla Art Collection Locarno
The Fondazione Ghisla Art Collection in Locarno, Switzerland, is a non-profit foundation for modern and contemporary art housed in a futuristic building in the city centre near the tourist port. The collection, built up over forty years by Pierino and Martine Ghisla, presents masterpieces of Pop Art, Informale, Conceptual, Abstraction and New Dada, alongside works by emerging artists. The works are displayed in eight rooms across three floors, arranged according to the collectors' personal taste rather than chronology. The foundation also hosts changing temporary exhibitions.
Families and Kids
Children up to 12 years accompanied by their parents enter free of charge. The foundation offers educational mediation paths and practical activities for school groups of all ages, including drawing from life, detail hunts and observation games.
