Flore-Alpe Alpine Botanical Garden
The Flore-Alpe Alpine Botanical Garden is located at 1500 meters above sea level near Champex-Lac in the Valais Alps, Switzerland. Around four thousand species of plants flourish there, from local alpine flora to species from the mountains of Europe and other continents, making it one of the most prestigious collections in the Alps. The garden features paths winding between rock gardens and small bridges over water features, with collections of saxifrage, rhododendron, gentian, houseleek, conifers, androsaces and botanical roses. It also hosts changing temporary exhibitions and offers guided tours, workshops and excursions.
Families and Kids
The garden offers workshops for adults and children during the summer season, as well as themed trails and audio guides. Children aged 6 to 16 receive a reduced admission price.
