Fischereimuseum
The Fischereimuseum (Fisheries Museum) in the heart of the old town of Zug, Switzerland, brings together a wealth of information and objects on a small space. It presents the history of fishing, the fishing association, the museum and the lakes of Zug. The ground floor houses a working fish hatchery where the spawn of whitefish, roach, pike and trout has been incubated since 1883, while the upper floor displays a cabinet of curiosities reminiscent of late Renaissance and Baroque wonder chambers. The museum also hosts changing temporary exhibitions.
