FBW Museum

The FBW Museum in Wetzikon, Switzerland, is dedicated to the legacy of the vehicle factory Franz Brozincevic Wetzikon (FBW), one of the three major Swiss commercial vehicle manufacturers from 1918 to 1985. Under the motto "Technology you can touch", the exhibition shows many original vehicles from the year 1917 onwards as well as engines, gearboxes and a cross-section model of a complete drive unit with EDU engine and the world-famous planetary gearbox. A company chronicle presents construction plans, photos and many models. The museum also houses an extensive company archive with technical documents, plans, correspondence and photos.

  • Can the museum be rented for private or company events?
    Yes, the museum and the Sechskantstübli (space for approx. 80-100 people) can be rented for company, club or family events. Catering by the Restaurant Sternen can be organised on request.
  • Are there guided tours of the museum?
    Yes, guided tours are available from CHF 100. Group visits are possible by appointment.
  • What is the current parking situation at the museum?
    Due to district heating construction work, access to the museum is severely restricted until approx. end of March 2026 and parking is only possible to a limited extent. About 5 parking spaces are still available directly at the museum; alternative parking is available at Coop/Müller/Takko and, in the evenings and at weekends, at the Zücko company and the Schlagenhauf company.
  • Can the FBW Club's vintage buses be hired for special trips?
    Yes, the FBW Club's vintage buses (e.g. an FBW LN40 from 1949 and an FBW 50U from 1976) can be chartered for special trips, wedding trips and nostalgia trips. There is no price list; you will receive an individually calculated quote.
  • Are there catering options in the museum?
    Yes, for food and drink there is a stop at the cosy Sächs-Kant-Stübli.
