Farnsburg Ruins
The Farnsburg ruins, known as the "Queen of the Upper Baselbiet", are located above Ormalingen, Buus and Hemmiken in the canton of Basel-Landschaft, Switzerland. The castle was the seat of the Counts of Tierstein-Farnsburg in the 14th century and later became the bailiff's seat of the city of Basel. The imposing shield wall with its viewing platform offers panoramic views from the Vosges to the Alps. The ruins were comprehensively renovated between 2019 and 2023.
