Ethnographic Museum of the Muggio Valley

The Museo etnografico della Valle di Muggio (MEVM) in Cabbio, Switzerland, is an ecomuseum conceived as a "museum in the territory" that links the cultural landscape of the Muggio Valley. Its information centre Casa Cantoni presents the permanent exhibition "Il Museo nel territorio" with a model, a tactile table and historical audiovisual documents. The museum also manages the restored and functioning Mulino di Bruzella mill, which hosts the exhibition "Dal mulino alla cartiera" on hydraulic machines of the Breggia river. The MEVM organises guided excursions and itineraries to discover ethnographic heritage such as nevère, roccoli, graa, bridges and mills scattered across the valley.

Families and Kids

The museum offers a summer day camp for children aged 7-11 and numerous school activities exploring the territory, the chestnut tree and the functioning mill. Guided excursions are suitable for families, with children up to 16 years entering free.
