Ethnographic Museum at the University of Zurich

The Ethnographic Museum at the University of Zurich is an ethnological science museum in Zurich's city centre, Switzerland, located in the Old Botanical Garden near Paradeplatz. It preserves a large collection of ethnographic objects, photographs, sounds and audiovisual media from all regions of the world. The central theme of its exhibitions and research is human competence and skill, as well as the critical examination of the provenance and colonial contexts of the collections. The museum presents changing exhibitions and regularly offers events, guided tours and workshops.
Families and Kids
The museum offers various activities for children and families. Exhibitions feature hands-on stations and booklets that let children start their own tour through the exhibition. Workshops and activities for children are also regularly offered, for example as part of exhibition projects.
