Einstein House

The Einstein House in Bern, Switzerland, is the former apartment of Albert Einstein at Kramgasse 49, where he lived from 1903 to 1905 during his crucial years in the city. The restored flat on the second floor shows the living conditions of Einstein, his wife Mileva and their son Hans Albert with period furniture, pictures and texts. The third floor presents Einstein's biography and life's work, including a 20-minute video introducing his life, thoughts and work. The house is a joint EPS/APS Historic Site and hosts changing temporary exhibitions.

Families and Kids

Children up to 7 years enter free of charge. The restored apartment and exhibition rooms can be explored by families, though the historic building features an original spiral staircase.
