    No. The access is not ideal and large objects can frighten the capybaras.
  • Do the keepers speak English or German during the Capybara workshop?
    No, the workshop is held in French. The theoretical part is only in French, though the keepers make an effort to be understood in the enclosure.
  • Can the Capybara workshop be privatised?
    Yes. You can contact them by email to state your needs. Private workshops take place on Thursdays outside school holidays (NE).
  • What is the money raised by the workshops used for?
    The money raised is used entirely to finance the refuge, including food, veterinary care, enclosures and staff.
  • Is there a toilet in the Capybara Lodge?
    No. Public toilets are accessible from 8:00 to 19:00; outside these hours a dry toilet is available next to the lodge. A shower is also available from 8:00 to 19:00.
  • From what age can one stay in the Capybara Lodge?
    From 6 years old. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
