Diorama Bethlehem
The Diorama Bethlehem in Einsiedeln, Switzerland, is a museum showing a monumental nativity scene with around 470 figures, embedded in a three-dimensional landscape of Bethlehem that is brought to life by an audio play. It also presents a mineral collection of around 1,200 exhibits from around the world, including quartz, agates, fossils and meteorites, complemented by a fluorescence cabinet. The building from the 1950s is a unique example of post-war modernism and was built specifically for the nativity scene. The museum is open seasonally and welcomes groups and guided tours by prior arrangement.
