Chüechlihus Regional Museum

The Chüechlihus Regional Museum in Langnau im Emmental, Switzerland, is one of the largest and most diverse regional museums in the country, housed in the oldest largely original wooden building in the region, built around 1526. Its cultural-historical collection of around 25,000 objects documents life in the Emmental from the Alpine cheese dairy to the SCL Tigers ice hockey club. The permanent exhibition, redesigned in 2025, covers everyday life, trade and crafts, and includes one of the most important collections of Langnau ceramics, cooperage and Flühliglas. The museum also hosts changing temporary exhibitions and projects on current topics.

Families and Kids

The Chüechlihus Regional Museum offers special offers for children and young people, including the Chüechlitiger children's trail for ages around 8-12, where young visitors solve puzzles and do handicrafts with the museum mascot. Puzzle tours and family offers make the museum a playful discovery tour for curious children.
