    Bus lines 625, 630 and 635 stop at Grandson, place du Château. The castle is also a 7-minute walk from the Grandson CFF train station.
  • Is there parking available near the castle?
    There is a castle parking lot nearby with limited spaces, as well as public parking at the place du Château and along the chemin du Lac. A public bicycle parking area is also available.

    Yes, a guided tour of the permanent exhibition 'Grandson: 1000 years of history' takes place on the first Sunday of each month, lasting one hour and covering 15 rooms and 4 floors. It is offered free with your paid museum admission, limited to 25 people, and recommended for ages 10 and up.

    On 8-9 August 2026, the castle hosts the Fête Médiévale. On these two days, the usual access conditions and admission prices do not apply; ticketing and information are managed by the Association des Amis du Château de Grandson (aacg.ch).
