Champex-Lac Artillery Fort

A hidden artillery fort built between 1940 and 1943, carved into the mountain with over 600 meters of galleries. It served as the central pivot of the fortified system of the Grand-Saint-Bernard region and was used by the Swiss army until 1998. The fort is open year-round for guided tours and private events.
