Cantonal Museum of Archaeology and History
The Cantonal Museum of Archaeology and History (MCAH) in Lausanne presents archaeological and historical collections from the canton of Vaud, spanning from the Paleolithic to the modern era. Housed in the Palais de Rumine, it features permanent exhibitions on prehistory, history, and coins and medals, along with temporary exhibitions.
Families and Kids
The museum offers family workshops, guided tours, and at-home activity kits for children aged 6 and up. Activities include pottery decoration, prehistoric painting, and making Neolithic bread. Flash visits and family workshops are available for the temporary exhibition 'Destination archéologie' (ages 6+).
