The baroque Campagne Oberried above Belp in Belp, Switzerland, is a classic example of a patrician country estate from the Bernese Ancien Régime. The building, erected in 1736 in the Régence style, is distinguished by its unusually spacious garden hall. Its showpiece is the magnificent wallpaper of the Göttersalon (Gods' Salon), a direct import from Paris around 1725. Also remarkable is the garden complex, extended in the Rococo style with avenues, water features and the spectacular Gloriette. The estate houses numerous family portraits and treasures of the von Fischer family.
