Hünegg Castle

Schloss Hünegg is a historic castle in Hilterfingen on the right shore of Lake Thun, Switzerland, built 1861–1863 in the style of the Loire Renaissance castles. It is a living museum of Historicism and Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) whose interior has remained unchanged since 1900, and it also houses the Erich Liechti ship collection. The castle is set in a large park with old trees, a grotto, and an animal enclosure, and hosts changing temporary exhibitions and events.

Families and Kids

The castle offers many activities for children and families, including a fairy-tale quiz trail through the park, the Schloss-Schlingel treasure hunt, a fairy-tale reading chalet (Märli-Läse-Hüsli), a children's birthday offer, and an animal enclosure with peacocks, rabbits and kangaroos.
