Burg Maur

Burg Maur is a residential tower built around 1250 in Maur, Canton Zurich. It houses the Herrliberger Collection with prints and publishing works of Zurich engraver David Herrliberger, the Salomon Cabinet with works by Salomon Landolt and Salomon Gessner, and a print workshop in the castle cellar. Changing exhibitions in the art chamber complement the offer.

Families and Kids

At Burg Maur there is a print workshop where children can try letterpress and copperplate printing themselves on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. Regular workshops such as papermaking, bookbinding and Christmas cookie baking are also offered for children and families.
