The BEATUS Wellness & Spa Hotel is located directly on the shores of Lake Thun in Merligen, Switzerland, on the sunny side of the Bernese Oberland. The hotel features a 35°C outdoor saltwater pool, an indoor pool fed by spring water, and the Bamboo sauna landscape with a Classic sauna area. Guests can enjoy massages, treatments, fitness facilities, and a daily wellness and exercise program, all set within a 12,000 m² park with a private sandy beach.

Opening hours

The saltwater pool and indoor pool are open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. without reservation, and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. with limited online tickets and from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. without reservation. The Classic Sauna opens on weekdays from 2 p.m. and on weekends and public holidays from 6 p.m.

FAQ

  • Are there age restrictions for children using the sauna?
    The Classic Sauna is a mixed, textile-free area where swimwear is not permitted. Young people aged between 16 and 18 may use the sauna area when accompanied by an adult.
  • Is the sauna included in the saltwater pool admission price?
    No. Standard saltwater pool admission includes the saltwater pool and indoor pool. The Classic Sauna can be booked separately.
  • Do I need to book the saltwater pool in advance?
    No booking is required during the week. On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, limited online time slots are available between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. From 6 p.m. onwards, entry is again possible without a booking.
  • Are bathrobes and towels included in the admission price?
    Not in the standard saltwater pool admission. Bathrobes and towels can be hired for a fee or may already be included depending on the day spa package.
  • Is the saltwater pool a thermal spa?
    The saltwater pool is a warm saltwater pool containing natural brine. It is not a traditional thermal spa.
