Atelier-Musée Encre & Plomb
A typographic printing museum covering over 500 years of printing history, located in Chavannes-près-Renens. Run by retired volunteer professionals, it preserves and demonstrates traditional typesetting, printing, and bookbinding techniques. Visitors can discover manual and mechanical composition, printing presses, and bookbinding craftsmanship.
Families and Kids
The museum welcomes school classes (ideal age 8-16) for guided visits with a historical film and practical demonstrations of four printing trades. Visits last about 2 hours and are by appointment only.
